Rtn. Major Donor Dr. P.V. Ravi

Rtn. P.V. Ravi, who was born on 15th February at Pollachi, took his degree in Physics in the year 1968 from Madras University. He took his MA in English from Sri Venkateswara University in the year 1978 and B. Ed from Mysore University in 1979. Rtn. Ravi took his Doctorate from Bharathiar University in 1997. Rtn. Dr. Ravi is proficient in four languages – Tamil, English, Hindi & Sanskrit.

Rtn. Dr. P.V. Ravi joined Rotary movement as the Charter President of Rotary Club of Tirupur North in the year 1984. He led his club in 1984-85, 1985-86 and 1998-99. He was the Secretary of the club for two different terms. At the District level Rtn. Dr. Ravi was GGR and District Chairman several times. He was the Chairman of "Vasantham", the District Conference in the year 2007-08.

Rtn. Dr. Ravi has spent millions of Rupees for the humanitarian & educational programs of Rotary since he joined the organization. As a Rotarian, he had adopted three villages, a Government Primary Health Centre at Perumanallur and has been providing free Engineering Education worth of Rs. 60 lakhs per annum. He provided Technical and Skilled Education for 1000 unemployed youngsters in the villages of Palladam and Coimbatore Talukes, totally free of cost. Rtn. Dr. Ravi was the pioneer in introducing the concept of self financing education in Tamilnadu as early as in 1982. His institutions have already produced 15 lakhs Engineers, 7 lakhs Diploma holders, 5 lakhs Para medical graduates, 20 lakhs Arts & Science Graduates and 5000 Medical Graduates. He has provided 1 lakhs professional employment in the field of Education with an annual turn over of Rs. 5000 crores.

Rtn. Dr. Ravi was the Founder Secretary of Tirupur Tamil Isai Sangam and held the position for 10 years. He was also the Founder Secretary of Tirupur Tamil Sangam.

He is the Vice President of Consortium of Professional Educational Institutions; Secretary of Tirupur Sports Organization; Syndicate Member of Bharathiar University; Member of Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Tamilnadu from 1986 to 89; Member of Indian Society for Technical Education; Member of All India Management Association, New Delhi; Member of Indian Institute of Export Management, Calcutta and Member of Ancient Astronaut Society, USA. There are a number of publications to his credit. He is the Founder of more than a dozen Educational Institutions and is the Managing Trustee, Managing Director or Chairman of several of them including Park Group of Institutions.

Rtn. Dr. P.V. Ravi has visited USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.
