I congratulate all of you for the new website for your club.
2009-10 Rotary International President, John Kenny has given us this year’s theme as “The Future of Rotary is in your Hands”. Yes, our rotary’s future is in our hands. Because the future of Rotary will not be shaped at RI headquarters in Evanston — it will be shaped in each and every Rotary club. Because it is for each of us — as Rotarians — to do what is necessary to keep Rotary strong. Because it is our daily actions, and our daily decisions, that determine the course of Rotary.
Keeping the RI theme in mind your club has started a new website. This web site will definitely help to enhance the image of your club, district and Rotary as a whole. A website showcases the club activities and is a powerful communication tool. Payyanur club has done a wonderful programme - Temple pond cleaning and Regenerating the pond. The temple pond is an important source for maintaining the water table in the village. By highlighting this programme in the website other clubs will be inspired by this project and implement this in their area. A Website will project the club activities throughout the district.
I wish the President, Rtn. Major Donor. Dr. Santhosh Sreedhar and his team of office bearers a fruitful and eventful rotary year.
